In "Innovating IT: Transforming IT From Cost Crunchers to Growth Drivers" Arussy contends that IT must change its focus from information producer to manager of information utilization in order to discard its obsolete role as cost center and connect to the core of the business. Mr. Arussy stresses in the book that the critical juncture is at hand for the re-definition of IT in order for IT to become more user-focused and connect with the core of the business.
